This is an amazing and fast grilled dessert that will have your family clamoring for more. The cardamom takes this over the top and leaves you feeling like this is a high-end dessert from a fancy restaurant.
Cut the apples into slices. Carefully core each apple
Coat them with a little melted butter. This will provide some extra flavor and help them from not sticking to the grill.
Grill the apple slices for five minutes each side and remove from the grill
Prepare the Seasoned Mixture
Combine the melted butter, cardamon and brown sugar in a small bowl
Pour over the grilled apples and mix to thoroughly coat
Top with Whipped Cream and Almond Slivers and serve
Notes
Topping: We topped ours with whipped cream and shaved almonds. You could eat plain or add a scoop of ice cream. Optional: Add a teaspoon of cinnamon in to the mixture for a fun fall flavor.Storage: They will last in the fridge for 2-3 days and can be reheated in the microwave. You could also warm them in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes or so until they are hot.
